Perspective
I really am enjoying my new job, in no small part due to the fact that I get paid to drive for over two hours each weekend between accounts! I buy myself a 25 cent soda from the warehouse vending machine, set the cruise control, and listen to the radio.
So I was heading towards Clintonville last Saturday, and one of those countdown shows was on (I think it was Rick Dees & the weekly top 40). Someone had phoned/mailed/emailed in a request (sent to his girlfriend) for Matt Kearney's (CAR-nee) "Undeniable".
My first thought was "That's not a boyfriend/girlfriend song - it's about God", and it was closely followed by "How sweet that he thinks that much of her".
It was such a nice thought that the rest of my drive just glowed. All the cornfields, the dark green forests, the roadways - everything just jumped up in crystal clarity.
Yep, still hoping.
listening to...
Matt Kearney - Undeniable
Matt Kearney - Crashing Down
Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes
Shall We Dance soundtrack - Moon River
