Seesaw!
Well, after the past few days of being sick, and the past few weeks of being so terribly busy (even for me), I did not have high hopes for today. For personal reasons, it's a day that generally gets me quite depressed, but I kept telling myself that I'd be all right. God listened to prayers!
For reasons unknown, I got to chat with a wonderful friend, and was happy to hear she's feeling better. Then, despite leaving a bit late, I got to work ahead of schedule (on time!! *yay*).
My boss had a "mission" for me - drive to Green Bay and pick up various products we're out of.
I set out, hit a detour, then a police blockade, and ended up getting "rerouted" for over an hour. I finally got to all 3 of my stops, and got back at 5pm, though some fuses burned out on the van (that's what my boss claimed it was, but I think it's more than that. I'm sure I'll be blamed for it, but I don't care - I had a great day!)
While driving, I listened to the radio. The search function happened upon Green Bay's New Source for Smooth Jazz and I actually enjoyed it! The music was very relaxing and fit my mood well :)
While at Pepsi-Cola's warehouse, I saw one of the drivers I stock shelves for on weekends, and he asked me if I can drive now. I told him "Sure I can drive, but only with the occupational license" (2.5 months left, thank you God!). He said he would mention that to his bosses because they are desperate for new help, and keep asking about me. Apparently I do a good job & they've noticed. Jason (the delivery driver) said it would mean a yearly income about 10K more than what I make now! I'm guessing that's 40 hours a week, though I'd continue working 70 for that kind of money (I'm sure they have some nice benefits, too).
To add to my nice day, my super-duper thermostat came today, so I won't have to worry about the new snake eggs getting too stressed. I've been searching snake forums like mad the last few days to ensure I know more than I need to - so far, so good.
Well, off to set up the thermostat!
listening (in my head :) ) to...
Coldplay - Yellow
Seether/Amy Lee - Broken
